MORE ABOUT REALME 6I
The realme 6i is the true successor to the realm 5 launched on the market less than a year ago, and it does so by releasing a processor and with several noteworthy features. The phone arrives in stores with 3 or 4 GB of RAM and is powered by the chipset manufactured by Mediatek to boost the mid-range in 2020, the Helio G80 that offers a fast and smooth experience to its users. The phone runs on Android 10 and has, among its main virtues, a large storage battery and a camera headed by a 48 Mp sensor. In this mobile datasheet, we analyze all its pros and cons.
REALME 6I FEATURES
The smartphone arrives as a cheaper and limited version of the Realme 6 but aims to become a best-seller among all those who are looking for a mobile for less than 200 euros with cutting-edge features.
The smartphone is large because it reaches a size of 6.5 inches with HD + resolution of 1600 x 720pixels, which, unlike its older brothers, stays with a classic refresh rate of 60 Hz and adopts the notch format in the form of a drop of water to accommodate your front camera.
Protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3, the phone has 16 million colors and capacitive touch technology, something common in almost all smartphones launched on the market in recent years. To this, we add a density of 270 dpi.
This Realme mobile is one of the first to release the MediaTek chipset developed to power the cheap mobile phones of 2020. We are talking about the Helio G80 made of 12nm with an 8-core structure divided into two ARM Cortex A75 at 2 GHz, and six ARMs Cortex A55 at 1.8 GHz. At the graphic level, we stumbled upon an ARM Mali G52 MCM GPU running at 950 MHz, which seems somewhat insufficient for large Play Store games, but competent for most tasks.
Regarding the memory configuration, it is here that we find one of the small differences with the Realme 6, especially in Spain where the brand will only sell the Realme 6i with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory. Of course, you can always expand it with MicroSD cards.
Despite being a mobile phone whose price is established below 180 euros, the brand has not wanted to give up one of the great characteristics of its mid-range: mounting a camera system with 4 or more lenses.
In the case of this model, we have the same sensors that we found in Realme 6, that is, an 8 Mp wide-angle with f / 2.25 aperture, a 2 MP black and white sensor with f / 2.4 and a 2 macro sensor. MP with the same opening. The big news is in the main sensor, a 48 MP Sony IMX 586 that has an f / 1.8 aperture and is capable of recording video clips at 1080p and 30 fps speed. Of course, this camera features the classic portrait and night modes as well as the professional, panoramic, or HDR mode, all of them assisted by AI.
As for the front camera, present in the notch of the screen, we have a 16 MP sensor with f / 2.0 that can also record video at the same quality and speed as the front camera.
Realme’s cheap mobiles have always boasted of having a large capacity battery and this case is no different. But not only do you have to value the capacity of 5,000 mAh for the Realme 6i’s battery, but it also has 18W and reversible fast-charge technologies.
DIFFERENCES FROM REALME 6
Lower resolution display
Although the screen size and format is the same (6.5 inches with a 20: 9 ratio), it is evident that the brand has cut enough on the display to offer a cheaper mobile. So this Realme 6i features lower resolution (HD + vs. FHD +), a more classic design with a drop of water notch and a classic 60Hz refresh rate.
Processor and memory differences
The two mobiles have a MediaTek processor but the Realme 6i’s G80 is one step below its older brother, which uses a MediaTek Helio G90T aimed at squeezing the most out of Play Store games.
Maintaining the same storage options, RAM is also lower in this model, with 3 or 4 GB compared to 6 or 8 of its older brother.
In exchange for these cuts, Realme has chosen to give the mobile a battery with a greater capacity, which, together with the resolution of the mobile, boasts autonomy that is close to 48 hours of normal use without problems.
Camera with 48 MP sensor
Obviously, the camera is one of the main components that are usually cut when it comes to lowering the price of a smartphone. Here are 3 sensors that remain unaltered (wide-angle, monochrome, and macro) but the main sensor drops down to 48 MP.
THE GOOD AND BAD
There are two great strengths in the phone, 3 if we add that it is a mobile that reaches the market with Android 10 and that launches the Realme UI personalization layer of the brand with interesting news.
To highlight its huge 5,000 mAh battery that, together with the resolution of the screen (lower than that of the Realme 6) allows you to have in your hand a smartphone whose autonomy is well above the average of its rivals.
Nor can we forget its price. For less than 180 euros, few smartphones are going to find that they offer not only this battery but a quad-camera with a 48 MP sensor, a 6.5-inch screen, and interesting details such as Bluetooth 5.0 or a most elegant design.
The presence of the Helio G80 in the mobile is a mystery because the chipset is so new that it has not yet been tested enough to know what performance the phone will offer. However, MediaTek has extensive experience in the mid-range and it does not seem that it will offer great problems on the Realme smartphone.
Interestingly, despite maintaining the same screen size, the Realme 6i is somewhat larger and heavier than its older brother (164.4 x 75 x 9.0 mm and 195 grams, compared to 162.1 x 74.8 x 8, 9 mm and 191 grams). This is due to the difference in the capacity of your battery.
WHO SHOULD BUY IT?
Any lover of the market where until a few months ago Xiaomi reigned with its good and cheap mobiles. Although we are talking about a smartphone for a young audience with a more than tight budget, the 179 euros/16,990 BDT that the phone costs for its 4 + 128 GB version make it an ideal option for those looking for a complete smartphone without having to spend a large sum of money. SO, Realme 6i price in Bangladesh is very lower.
The smartphone goes on sale in April 2020 available in green and white.
Realme 6i price in Bangladesh is BDT. 16,990 (Official) for 4GB/64GB
Technical data is collected from Official website
Just a few weeks ago, they were actually dressing up to present their new range of affordable smartphones for 2020 with which they demonstrated their intentions to make things difficult for brands such as Xiaomi that, to date, have been selling cheap mobile phones. With the realme 6i, the brand turns the market of cheap mobiles upside down in our country with a model that has been pushing hard in price and with performance by flag, although along the way it leaves benefits that we do find in the realme 6 that we already analyzed a few weeks ago.
- Good quality camera
- 5000mAh huge battery
- Cheap price
- Low processor
- Slightly heavy in weight
