MORE ABOUT ONEPLUS 7T PRO
The OnePlus 7T Pro is the best smartphone manufactured by the brand this year 2019, with the permission of the new OnePlus 7T McLaren that usually accompanies the launch of the brand’s latest mobiles in recent years.
This new model from the Chinese firm is essentially an update of the OnePlus 7 Pro, Both phones are almost identical on an aesthetic level although the OnePlus 7T Pro has slight design changes that hint at better camera performance.
We are talking about a smartphone with a full 19.5: 9 screen without frames thanks to the displacement of the front camera to a pop-up module that is hidden in the body of the terminal. Added to this are up to 8 GB of RAM and a Snapdragon 855+ CPU that improves the power seen in the immediately previous model. Regarding this OnePlus 7 Pro, we also have a slight improvement in the battery and some aesthetic change that we will see below in this technical sheet of the mobile phone.
Remarkably, it is one of the first phones on the market that arrives in stores boasting Android 10, with the usual customization layer of OxygenOS.
The OnePlus 7T Pro boasts a 6.67-inch Fluid AMOLED panel with a QHD + resolution of 3120 x 1440 pixels and a density of 516 dpi. These details make up a 19.5: 9 display format panel protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 6 that completely ignores the frames thanks to hiding the front camera in a pop-up module that is activated by the phone’s camera app.
This panel has sRGB support and has Video Enhancer, Reading Mode, and Night Mode functions to protect eye health when consulting the screen in low light environments. Like its predecessor, it has a 90Hz refresh rate.
OnePlus has chosen to push the top of the range with the best Qualcomm processor manufactured to date, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ that begins to star in most premium range phones launched in the last half of 2019.
The Snapdragon 855+ is manufactured under a 7nm process and is capable of reaching a maximum frequency of 2.96 GHz since it is a Snapdragon 855 powered to offer better performance. As for the GPU, mount the Adreno 640 that ensures more than perfect performance when using any app downloaded from the Google Play Store.
The OnePlus 7T Pro hits the market with a single configuration based on its RAM and internal storage. Without the possibility of expansion through MicroSD, we have an internal memory of 256 GB, while, at the RAM level, the smartphone reaches 8 GB, one step back compared to the 12 GB of memory offered by the OnePlus 7 Pro.
The OnePlus 7T Pro’s camera is unchanged from the OnePlus 7 Pro. The rear configuration sports 3 sensors spearheaded by a 48MP primary lens with f / 1.6 aperture Sony IMX586 that features a 7-element lens array. This sensor has OIS and AI functions such as scene detection to adjust the shot to what we are capturing. Again we meet a telephoto lens only this time it is a 12 MP lens with f / 2.4 aperture that provides a 3X optical zoom without loss. The third sensor of the OnePlus 7T is a 16 MP ultra-wide-angle and f / 2.2 aperture that provides a viewing angle of 117º, being the main lens for capturing landscapes.
Among the modes that we can test with this camera, we have the classic HDR, panoramic, night mode, portrait mode, Time Lapse, Ultrashort and professional mode to alter all the variables of the shot manually.
These lenses are accompanied by a dual-LED flash like the OnePlus 7T but this time the laser focus has been taken out of the package. There is no apparent reason but this causes the OnePlus 7 Pro cases not to work on this OnePlus 7T Pro.
When it comes to video recording, the rear camera allows you to capture clips up to 4K resolution at 30 and 60 fps. It is possible to record video at 960 fps and 480 fps in 720p resolution.
With the front camera, we can record video at 30 fps in FullHD resolution. It is a Sony IMX471 sensor that has 16 MP and a pixel size of 1.0 microns. It is housed in the pop-up module of the smartphone and has facial unlock, on-screen flash and AI technologies to beautify our selfies.
At the energy level, we also found some improvement in the battery of the OnePlus 7T Pro. The mobile presents a cell of greater capacity reaching 4,085 Mah, which allows it to maintain a range of normal use of more than 24 hours. How could it be otherwise, the firm has implemented in this component its 30W Warp Charge fast charge technology to fully charge this battery in less than two hours.
The firm remains firm in its decision not to mount a 3.5 mm mini headphone jack on the mobile, which is why the only port we find in the OnePlus 7T Pro is the USB type C that serves to connect the helmets, charge the smartphone and transfer data between smartphone and computer.
At a wireless level, we have LET with a download speed of 1.2 Gbps (Cat.18) and 150 Mbps of upload (Cat. 3). We also have Wi-Fi connectivity a, b, g, n, and ac in both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, Bluetooth 5.0 AptX, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, Beidou, GALILEO, and NFC. Once again the fingerprint reader is located under the smartphone screen.
OnePlus 7T Pro price: 759 euros
